Pt's lid condition was explained in detail. Pt understands that physiological changes can be related to natural aging, family history (genetics), trauma, or infections. Recommended annual f/u to monitor for changes & progression. Will consider referral to oculoplastics if condition worsens and interferes with vision and/or visual comfort.

Pt has option of doing clip on vs. making glasses that are purple in  color  - cost is similar but pt may want to do clip on instead since they may not want purple looking glasses to wear full time. cost ranges from $200 to $300 - similar cost for the clip and the glasses.   Laboratory testing may be directed toward identifying blood dyscrasias, clotting disorders and other hematological abnormalities.
