Prescribed oral medication to be used as directed and warm compress to be used 2-3x/day until resolution. Emphasized to pt the importance of lid hygiene. Advised ATs may be used as needed for ocular surface lubrication. 

Edu pt on exam findings. RTC for follow up as indicated.

Pt has option of doing clip on vs. making glasses that are purple in  color  - cost is similar but pt may want to do clip on instead since they may not want purple looking glasses to wear full time. cost ranges from $200 to $300 - similar cost for the clip and the glasses.   Laboratory testing may be directed toward identifying blood dyscrasias, clotting disorders and other hematological abnormalities.
