Pt was counseled on the importance of monitoring the condition as directed. Pt may use ATs PRN and was advised to avoid blood thinning medications to promote quicker resolution. Instructed pt to immediately report any change in condition outside of expected and discussed symptoms. RTC if not resolved in 2-3 weeks or if reoccurrence is noted. 

Edu pt on condition and exam findings.

Pt has option of doing clip on vs. making glasses that are purple in  color  - cost is similar but pt may want to do clip on instead since they may not want purple looking glasses to wear full time. cost ranges from $200 to $300 - similar cost for the clip and the glasses.   Laboratory testing may be directed toward identifying blood dyscrasias, clotting disorders and other hematological abnormalities.
