In order to bill refraction to the vision insurance, you have to bundle it, meaning that you have to bill the 92004 or 92014 code in order to bill the refraction code. You can’t just bill the refraction code alone.

Pt has option of doing clip on vs. making glasses that are purple in  color  - cost is similar but pt may want to do clip on instead since they may not want purple looking glasses to wear full time. cost ranges from $200 to $300 - similar cost for the clip and the glasses.   Laboratory testing may be directed toward identifying blood dyscrasias, clotting disorders and other hematological abnormalities.
